2025 Mount Isa Career Expo Inspiring Young Minds to Try Different Careers

CUC Mount Isa facilitated a Virtual Career Experience at the 2025 Mount Isa Job Expo. The VR experience, powered by Work Window, allows you to try a career as if you were present on the job thanks to the 360-camera capturing real Queensland based workplaces. The experiences include over 50 different jobs including carpentry, civil engineering, dentistry, hospitality and so much more.

During the expo CUC Mount Isa welcomed many students and recent graduates who were curious to try on different careers via the Virtual Reality headset. We also shared local and remote study options for those looking to study, highlighting that CUC Mount Isa study hub is always there to support. Learn more about CUC Mount Isa.

Mount Isa Catholic School and Spinifex State College students discussed their career aspirations and even got to experience some of these careers in VR. We also were joined by primary school children who quickly learned through VR that the horizons are much wider than it seems and you can experience diving the Great Barrier Reef while sitting on the chair in Mount Isa.
