Why did you choose your degree and what do you enjoy the most about it?

I chose Certificate III in Community Services because I have a strong desire to make a positive impact in the community I live in. The course offers practical skills and knowledge that prepares us for various roles in community services such as support workers, case managers or youth workers.

What has been your learning journey to date?

The course provides me with a comprehensive understanding of the community services sector covering essential areas such as effective communication, cultural competence and ethical behaviour . It has also reinforced my passion for community service, setting a solid foundation for a fulfilling career dedicated to helping others.

How important is having the CUC in your local town to you and why?

Having the CUC in our local town is incredibly valuable to me. It provides accessible higher education opportunities for people who might otherwise face barriers due to distance, financial constraints or family commitments. The Centre offers essential resources like study spaces, high speed internet and academic support enabling students to pursue qualifications without leaving their community
