Student Story # 4 – Rebecca Johnson

Why did you choose your course and what do you enjoy the most about it?

I chose to study a Post-Graduate Certificate in Education (Science of Learning) through Edith Cowan University. I have enjoyed learning more about creating and delivering effective teaching and learning experiences for my students in line with how the brain learns best.

What has been your learning journey to date?

After completing Year 12 in 2018 at St Michael’s Collegiate School in Hobart, Tasmania, I completed a Bachelor of Education (Primary) (online) through the University of Tasmania. This year, I have completed a Graduate Certificate of Education (Science of Learning) through Edith Cowan University and I will continue onto my Masters in 2026.

How important is having the CUC in your local town to you and why?

Having access to the CUC has been incredibly valuable for my study this year. It’s given me a quiet, comfortable (and wonderfully air conditioned!) space where I can stay focused and get my assignments done. The free WIFI and printing facilities have made it so easy to access course content and work through my readings. I’ve genuinely loved using the CUC this year and honestly cannot imagine studying without it!
